Working for Hensel Recycling

Our recycling technologies delight customers around the world. Since 1998, the commitment of our 200 employees in sites around the world has enabled us to be highly efficient in recovering precious metals from automotive applications, and we drive innovation in the industry.

Precious metals are our passion – that makes Hensel Recycling the first choice in the recovery of precious metals.

Five good reasons

  • Passion – The enthusiasm for our daily work is what drives us and what motivates us to look at the bigger picture. Regardless of whether you’re working on new markets or technologies, you can put your heart into everything you do and use your own successes to help us deliver on our value proposition.
  • Partnership – We are team players and search together to find the best solutions for our customers. Being fair to each other is the basis for keeping our customers happy. We are delighted if you can use unconventional thinking to bring new ideas into the company.
  • Trust – We place a great deal of trust in our employees. Openness, respect and tolerance are at the forefront of our daily interaction with one another. As a family-run company this is extremely important to us.
  • Responsibility – At Hensel, you can expect flat hierarchies and responsibility. On top of this, you will receive practice-oriented training to prepare you professionally for your area of responsibility. We appreciate it if you can take the initiative and be fully committed to your actions.
  • Expertise – Your technical capabilities and your professional conduct are our capital today. Benefit from our training opportunities because only those who keep working on themselves will be able to meet the challenges of the future.

Our Offering

At Hensel Recycling you can expect a competitive salary and attractive benefits. We maintain a regular dialogue with you through appraisal and development interviews. We also provide you with a monetary gift or gift vouchers when you marry or enter a consensual union, and on the birth of a child or other important life events.

A healthy balance between private life and working life is particularly important in our fast-paced life. We help our employees to achieve this by offering a number of benefits related to family, sport and health. Our flexible working-time model, which operates in a set framework, offers time-off as compensation for any overtime worked. It is important to us that we find individual solutions for each employee that allows work and family to coexist in harmony. Every employee is given 30 days leave per year, as well as special leave for marriage or the birth of a child, for example. To allow all employees to relax and celebrate Christmas and New Year, we give them half a day’s leave on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Further development and qualifications are extremely important to us. From trainees and apprentices right up to management, we believe it’s important that they continue both their personal development and their professional development. In the annual employee interviews, we specifically discuss the individual training options in more detail. We support and encourage committed employees to undertake studies associated with their profession. Our international set-up allows employees to work at one of our subsidiaries for a time and to gain work experience abroad.

We support our employees in leading an active and healthy lifestyle. Along with our arrangements with fitness clubs, Hensel Recycling organises different sports groups, such as running or bowling groups, and has its own team in the Hensel Recycling Churfranken Triathlon. In all our buildings you’ll find tea, coffee and a selection of cool drinks, as well as apples for those little breaks in between.

Nowadays a private pension plan is essential: Hensel Recycling subsidises contributions to a direct insurance scheme or a pension fund by 15 percent. There is also the option of having capital-forming benefits paid into the company pension scheme.

Our company has been built in the style of a campus, this means that work areas are spread over different buildings but aren’t far away from each other. We have created a spacious working area that has modern furnishing and fittings. There is a fully equipped kitchen in each building, along with break and social facilities.

Occupational safety is of overriding importance for Hensel Recycling. Our aim is to continually improve working conditions and find the optimum arrangements for the individual areas. Occupational health is also extremely important to us. This includes regular health check-ups and active health management.

Last but not least: We believe that a pleasant working environment is created when work life is enhanced by social activities and by celebrating our successes together. That’s why we have a summer party, a Christmas event and regular “Friday barbecues” in the diary.
